Art in the café
Fourth World Arts are an evolving group of artists and volunteers based in Bonnington Square, and beyond. We organise monthly art exhibitions and workshops transforming the Bonnington Café ambience every month.
Fourth World Arts was established in the early 1990s as a network of local artists with connections across the globe, starting out in the basement of the Bonnington Centre. Since then 4thWA has challenged established commercial arts institutions as well as definitions of art itself. To do that we welcome diversity of people, ideas and art media including music, writing, film, poetry and traditional art painting, etc. 4thWA is a work in progress, both defined and undefined, as art should be in motion in constant change in evolution in revolution.
We currently operate as a small group of volunteers supporting the creative use of the Bonnington Centre and Café including artists’ exhibitions, artist-led workshops, and music events. We are always looking for volunteers to get involved. Please contact us for more information info@bonningtoncentre.org.
